European Media Art Platform

EMAP / EMARE or European Media Art Platform is the European network for artistic exchange, residencies and media art development scheduled for the years 2017 – 2021, created by representatives of 11 leading European media art organizations and institutions. As a result of residencies, expert consultations and activities of the platform members, every year 11 projects selected by the international jury are presented in the context of international festivals, art events and exhibitions. The WRO Art Center has so far hosted the following artists in residence: Taavi Suisalu from Estonia (2018), Marco Barotti from Italy (2019), Kat Austen from England (2020). In 2021, the next resident artist is Gil Delindro form Portugal, whose multi-layered work Rhone will be presented to an international audience during the 19. Media Art Biennale WRO REVERSO, in May 2021.
