Zbigniew Kupisz (WRO)

Zbigniew Kupisz – a member of the WRO Art Center programme team, the main producer of the WRO Art Center. Graduate of Political Science at Wroclaw University (major: Public Administration). In the 80’s an organizer of music life and a music producer associated with the alternative scene (manager of, among others, Klaus Mitffoch) and the Polish Jazz Association (member of PSJ, manager of Jazz Klub Rura). Co-initiator of WRO. Since 1989 he has produced all editions of the WRO Biennale. He organized WRO presentations within the framework of the Polish Year in Austria (2002) and Germany (2005/2006) and within the framework of regional cooperation Lower Silesia-Alsace (2004-2009). Producer of TV programs and projects devoted to art. Participant of national and international conferences on culture management and NGO sector. Also works with photographic documentation; author of interactive installations exhibited in Poland, Germany and Holland. Member of the Board of the Lower Silesian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. Winner of the Wrocław President’s Award in the field of culture in 1998, Laterna Magica Award of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, awarded the title of Civitate Wratislaviensi Donatus.
