AMZN
installation, 2019-20
A multi-element project consisting of photographs, texts, videos and objects, as well as a website, amzn.vnlab.org, which is an interactive repository of materials. The aim of the project is to show the overall activity of the Amazon company in Poland and in the world. The reverse of the corporation’s activities, perceived mainly through its online interface, are huge warehouse halls, data centers, and a dense logistical network operated by people and machines. Further work on the project also includes works that refer to the issue of the reverse in a different way – trying to find alternative uses for technology, which in Amazon and neo-Taylor capitalism is a tool of oppression and control over workers.
